On our 10^th anniversary, we set out Yearbook free from the brochure format having a beginning, a middle and an end and turned it into a loose-page collection that can be read at any order. Each page is an analogy of how we like to talk about us and a way to illustrate some of our brand values: collective approach, education, transparency, diversity, complementarity and the unexpected that emerges from the differences. With its symbolic language, our Yearbook VIII is open to interpretation, making its content richer at every reading. As we deepen the understanding of the analogy, we instigate our readers to explore what they may be passionate about: reading a new book, seeing an exhibition of a new artist, watching a culturally enriching show. Or simply, having fun.

To choose the topic of the seventh edition of our Yearbook, we single out one of the main features of our firm: a way of thinking that does not separate but unites, includes and connects. It is a thinking structure known today as a ‘complex thinking’, that takes into account incoming influences and seeks the necessary and interdependent relations so that the new may emerge.  By choosing this theme, we present the activities we have developed throughout the year together with their results. At the same time, we praise a way of thinking that is based on the perception of the world as an inseparable whole and on the belief that the path to understanding the universe lies on the connection among different forms of knowledge.

The sixth edition of our Yearbook does not look back to last year alone but reviews our growth path over the past six years. By comparing our history with the Brazilian literary movements of the 20th Century, Yearbook VI presents an innovative perspective of the creative tension between opposite poles – reason and emotion, passion and lucidity, subjectivity and objectivity, where we believe lies the drive for growth.

The existing relations among concepts of Law, Architecture, and Civilization are the topics of our Yearbook V.  The similarities between the design of a city and a Law thesis; the search for the interrelation of different scales (from monumental to human; from universal to individual); and the consistency of a work (whether a work of Architecture or of Law) constitutes the guiding principle of this text which, in a reference to the current Brazilian historic moment,  uses the city of Brasília to represent such analogies.

The yearbook on its 4th edition celebrates the achievement of what was once a dream but today is a reality: Souza, Schneider, Pugliese and Sztokfisz Advogados – now a benchmark law firm providing legal tax services of excellence – through continuous and sustainable growth, embarking on a flight into the future.

As you flick through the pages of our Yearbook III, you will understand our concern with the precision we need to move forward.  We have firmly placed our flag in national and international territories. Now, we continue our journey, aiming to be the best tax law firm in Brazil.

With the consolidation and expansion of our law firm, we have chosen music as our conceptual parallel for our Yearbook II.

In our inaugural Yearbook, we portray the first year of our law firm and the initial projects existing at that time. In this edition, we used chess as a metaphor to illustrate our strategic and tactical performance.
